Hypothyroidism is a stage, where the whole body lacks the sufficient thyroid hormone. This hypothyroidism disease is caused in animals as well as in the Human beings. This disease is related to the thyroid glands. This hypothyroidism is also common in women. Some of the women are the thyroid hormone deficiency. Thyroid is one of the major endocrine glands. The thyroid gland in human bodies is incapable of producing the thyroid hormone. The Thyroid gland is helpful in the metabolism of the body. The rate at which the energy is burnt and rate of the metabolism occurs is supported by the thyroid hormones. The deficiency of iodine is also one of the major causes for the Hypothyroidism.

The symptoms of Hypothyroidism is like, it includes the weight gain, Loss or thinning of Eyebrows, depression, cold hands or feet, Dry or thinning hair, thickening of the skin, thin and brittle fingernails, joint or muscle pains, puffy face, cold introlance and many more.

The main symptoms of Hypothyroidism is like the tired feeling, muscle and the joint ache, sensitive to cold, weight gain, as well as the constipation and heavy periods in case of women. But, some of the people think that these symptoms may occur because of the due to over stress or due to the age. The skin becomes dry and rough in case of the amount of thyroid hormones continues to fall, it also cause to lack the mental activity and the concentration, memory can be slightly disturbed.

In some of the cases, the Hypothyroidism is not getting treated at time. So, then the later symptoms include the sleepy appearance, swelling of face, dry and rough skin, and loss of the hair in some of the cases. There are some symptoms like husky voice and numbness of the arms and legs, heavy weakness, muscle pain. Some people suffer from the weakness, mental confusion, and hair loss, and depression, lack of confidence, uneasiness, and day time sleepiness.

Secondary Hypothyroidism is also another type of the Hypothyroidism. This may be caused due to the abnormality of the pituitary gland. The Hypothyroidism is detected if there are some feeding problems, sleepiness, hoarseness it occurs in the small children.
