Slim Fast Diet




Slim fast diet is attractive for people who don't want to figure out portion size and enjoy prepared meals due to time constraints. In their optima diet program they have meals on the go that are personalized to try to lose 1-2 lbs a week. The plan also includes having 2 slim fast shakes or bars. The optima diet has less sugar than in past slim fast products. People had been questioning the high sugar content and the company listened.

For the Optima diet you'll have the slim fast meal on the go instead of your breakfast. At lunch you use a meal on the go with 200 calories of your own foods you enjoy. For instance you can have half a turkey sandwich or a mini pizza. Some people like the idea of mixing in their own preference with something that's already pre-packaged. It is a way one's individuality can be affirmed while still having a guideline.

You are told to use your daily allowance. You won't lose more by cutting back so don't reduce your intake. If you are nursing or pregnant this diet is not appropriate for you.

For dinner there's a meal that is healthful and around 500 calories. They use a guideline of 1/2 veggies, 1/4 lean protein , 1/4 starch and a salad. For snacks you'll munch on fruits and veggies.
